Ascend 299 by North Sierra Homes has pretty much everything you’d ever want in a mountain vacation home. It’s located in the very heart of the Nakoma Resort core, right across the street from Altitude. It’s also loaded with amenities and comfort; my favorite is the “hot tub grotto” private patio ticked into the hillside right off the master bed. Ideal home for relaxing with family, soaking in the jacuzzi, listening to the sigh of wind in the pines after a long mountain bike ride, worry-free as the kids live it up at Altitude across the street.

A short uphill walk through the woods brings one to the Nakoma Lodge with the Fifty44 restaurant, famed for its healthy and diverse menu. The Lodge is also home to the Dragon at Nakoma golf course, wild ride through the forests of Plumas County astride a golf cart.
